The request by the Assessor to do the updating of the tax rolls by collecting data is not in the budget for 2007.  The board was kind of split on whether to do it or not.  The amount to update is $25 per parcel.  The amount is for 160 parcels at a cost of $4000.00.  The board asked that Mr. Hamlin and Mr. Keibel be invited to the December meeting to discuss the matter.

Ellis mentioned a public hearing will be held by the County on the landfill entrance.  There will be a public meetin on Dec. 13, 2006 at the Town of Chenango at 7 p.m.

The Broome County Association of Towns will not hold a meeting this month.

Ellis mentioned the Association of Towns meeting to be held in NY City from Feb. 18-21, 12007 if anyone is interested.  You may register online.

OLD BUSINESS:

On the building codes, most towns are inspecting the installation of stoves.  On Nov. 30th, Mr. Simpson may find out more at a schooling.  The board discussed the inspections of stoves and will find out more at the next meeting.

A sheet listing the charges for building permits was given to the board members for review to see if they feel changes should or should not be made.

The board  discussed a new furnace and of going with a gas boiler.  The information received is that the tank would have to be so far away from the building, maybe the oil fired should have a secondary pum on the bottom floor.

They talked of waiting till spring and the size of the pipe feeding the fuel to the boiler, to check into the heating unit we need and the circulating system.  What size furnace is needed, etc.

Mr. Forkey will get in touch with the Anytime Heating and see if he will give an analysis of what we need to sufficiently heat the building.

A public hearing was held on the budget on November 9, 2006 with no one speaking for or against the budget as presented.
