We do hereby accept the Supervisor’s report as read.  Vote: All ayes

 

Bids were opened on Fuel Oils.

Department Head Reports:   Historian Costley reported that we are building a float with the Towns of Northern Broome to be in the parade on June 3, 2006 in Binghamton for the 200 year celebration of the County of Broome. 

 

Jake Slack told they are working on chips and that we will be receiving about $5000.00 more for this year.   He did not get the Gradall yet, it had to be repaired and will be done soon.

 

            Committee reports:  On the Web Site:  Advanced Computer will get in touch with the Town Clerk.

 

Mr. Loveless reported that the Clean up Day was the best we have had.  There was more response this year and stated the new sign helped.

Ellis:  Reported on the LCAC meeting for a pre-scoping session.  They discussed the entrance and an overpass/underpass.  The county wants a on grade crossing.  They talked of the scales being moved and having an area for vehicles to set off the highway while waiting to go into the landfill.

 

Swan told that traffic was lined up on Saturday at 7 am.  There is no one there to direct and keep traffic control.

 

Broome County Association of Towns will hold their meeting on May 25, 2006 at McGirks Pub.

WE do hereby accept the resolution to add the changes for the FOIL law.  5 ayes

 

The Justice is asking that the agreement be done to be able to use credit cards in his office.  The board decided to get the application in and try it.

We do hereby approve the bills as presented for payment.  Vote:  5 ayes

 

Open to the Public

 

It was brought up that the siren in Nanticoke goes off and keeps on for half an hour or so. 

Mr. Ellis will follow up on that problem.
