Open to the Public:

Kevin Grover – To discuss Dingman Road.  (Attached are the papers produced.)

He stated he wants the Dingman Road abandoned and a turn around could be left for the snow plow at the end of that portion of the road the town would keep.  The board discussed this matter and decided to study the proposal and bring it up at another board meeting. There is an easement on the road for the town to use.  He talked of the sluice pipe under the road which he thinks should be repositioned on the side to run down to Dunham Hill Road.

Motion by Forkey, Seconded by Whittaker, Carried

WE do hereby accept the Supervisor’s report as read for the month of November.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  No reports this month.

Small Cities Block Grant:  The Town has funded the money and are now out of money.  We approved 17 projects.  There are 4 still not complete.

On Ms. Chapman we had a meeting today with Assemblyman Finch and Supervisor Ellis at the Chapman home.  They are looking to find a contractor to temporarily secure the home.  She has a price of $58,000. from a contractor to do the repairs.

The question was asked if her husband is living in the home also?

Did you bring up the fact that the manufacturer was down and verified that the  job was done right?   This was done.  The Town has nothing to do with it now and will leave it in the hands of Thoma and she will have to pursue the contractor of the work done  (Better Homes Construction.)  We have no additional funding to put in the house.

The Supervisor asked if the board would like to enter into the process for the

Year 2008.  They are waiting to see how this comes out on the Chapman home.

The Town has funded all the projects and are out of money for any more on this grant.  The remainder of the work is for Robert Smith, Merle Hover, William Bruce, Robert Merritt, Glenn Crowningshield and Robert Bruce.

On a Local Law when enacted it would be in the paper and posted on the Town’s Bulletin board.  Without a leash law or dog control law it leaves the hands tied for the Judge and the Dog Control Officer to prosecute those in violation.  Ie: dangerous dogs
