Town of Nanticoke Present: Supervisor Ellis

The Town Board, Town of Nanticoke met for a regular meeting on June 20, 2007 with Supervisor Ellis leading the pledge to the flag.
Others attending the meeting: Glenn Simpson, Code Enforcement,
Gary Smith, Rosemarie Yesalusky, Debbie Chapman and daughter.

Clerk Costley discussed the software for her office. BAS is going to an sql database and for the upgrade it will cost $300.00. This is a one time charge. The maintenance fee will take care of updates if and when needed.
Williamson Law Book has offered their program to the Clerk for an amount of $1000.00 plus maintaince fee of $500 per year. To change their would be some training that would have to be done at 78.00 per hour and mileage fees charged.
The board felt it may be a problem to get all the information transferred to the new program. The Clerk will consider all the options before a decision is made.

Committees: Audit committee will be contacted to do the year 2006.
A facility committee was appointed to check out the building to see if there are needs for repair. The committee is Charles Forkey and Dan Baker. (Furnace, Prioritize what needs to be done such as doors, overhead doors etc.
On the landfill there is going to be a meeting on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at the Town of Chenango to go over the Review for the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement. Whether there will be an at grade crossing with entrance on Dunham Hill Road, an underpass/overpass as promised before. Several of the Broome County Towns have sent resolutions supporting the host towns and the promises made by the County earlier.
CDBG GRANT: We have a grant recipient who is not doing well with the procedure. She is unhappy with the roof and wants it tore off and redone.
