Small Cities Block Grant is progressing and the money allocated for the program is going along as planned.

There was a discussion on the materials being stored in the towns shed for the project on the Chapman property.  This matter is in the hands of the attorney.  The person needs to accept the delivery of the materials.  No one is lined up to do the work. They know the material is available.

Baker felt they should set a deadline for the pickup of the material.

Ellis felt that was a good idea and will talk to our attorney on the matter.

The tarp is off the home and the owner is not living in the house, Ellis will relay this to the attorney.

Baker:  Is someone looking into where the ex is living?

Ellis: the money is still allocated to finish this project.

Forkey: Mentioned they should sign off the project.

Department Heads:

Jake Slack, has a chance to purchase a 1999 Badger 1085 excavator from the Town of Kirkwood for an amount of $10,000.00.  Excavator comes with both buckets.  Is exactly like the one the Town of Maine has with extend a hoe.  It occasionally shuts off when turning –did not get any flood damage.

Mr. Benjamin has spoke to the office of Senator Libous concerning money award for Roat Road.

Slack stated the stone and oil is done, needs to hit culverts again on Tiffany and Fairbanks Roads.

·        DCO- How does it stand for a leash law?

Ellis:  No action taken yet, will give to the planning board to work on.

Baker:  The lawyer was going to research the leash laws.

Yesalusky: He was researching difference in leash laws and in control laws.  Unless bit by a dog nothing can be done.

Struble said to be sure it is enforceable and has ramification if no show, etc.

Yesalusky:  Control-Supervised on property----a leash law would be if you are out.

Ellis:  Refer to planning board and talk to attorney.

Shirley Goss:  Told that Jake was up on Leekville Road and worked on her problem after the last meeting.  After the rain storm it washed out again.  Has pictures and were given/shown to Jake.

Judge Struble stated he received a form from the Town Attorney concerning privacy for for vendors.

Ellis:  Stated it might be best to use the County’s vendors form, can contact The Town Attorney on this./

Judge Struble stated if we had a contract with a firm we could contact them anytime we needed service instead of waiting for them to be available.

Jake said that on the Goss property that unless they can cut the ditch there is not much we can do.  She does park there and that can affect it.  Don’t know how to fix it without a ditch and a sluice under the driveway.  He will look into the matter and talk to different people but does not feel it will solve the problem entirely.

Gary Smith- Northern Broome  County Fire Chief’s are working on  communications  with the Count y Executive.  They have big problems on toning them out and are there is work going on for  a cell tower on Anderson Road, they want to work on a back tone to bring it into the Glen Aubrey area.  A serious problem exists when equipment is needed for a big fire.  They are down to 10 dispatchers at the County.  A rookie dispatcher for MVA disregarded a request for different t tools needed.  The labor dept. has a new law, all volunteers must have safety ropes and harnesses with a cost of $10-15,000.00 to outfit the units. We must be compliant within 60 days.

Ellis: stated the Dept of labor will work with them if they don’t butt heads.

Smith:  It should be aimed at green flag interiors with a few ropes on the rig.

OLD BUSINESS:

Judge needs paperwork for 2003-2005 audit.

Dan & Don to audit Joanne’ books when it can be set up.

Chuck Forkey:  Door Quote from Jeff Smith but he does not install them.

Whittaker:  Person was here and he is waiting for a quote.

The board felt they could go another year with the existing heating system.

Ellis: Need to know pricing for doors to have money in the budget.

LCAC hasn’t done much –Meeting in October about the entrance.  There are many towns whom have passed a resolution supporting a overpass/underpass.  This will  hopefully make the County accountable for

What they originally said they would do.

A Thank You Card was received from the Robert Hamlin family.
