PUBLIC HEARING: DOG CONTROL LAW opened at 7:02 pm
Without a local law the town has to follow the state Agriculture and Markets law requirements.
With a local law it would control dogs at large requiring a leash/o
To respond to verbal commands by owner
It would not involve a hunting dog in control of its owner
Enforcement by local Dog Control Officer. Gives him something
He will be able to use when he receives complaints.
A local law can be enacted and be re-visited and changed if a
Particular need or needs for the town.
The law was discussed and will be reviewed by the board before
They act upon it.
Rick Gummoe asked if this would be just in the villages or the whole town?
Answer: it will be through out the town we have no villages.
You could have your dog or anyone could and running and if it stays on your property it is not a violation of this law. This was wrote to give some controls without going overboard

SCBG: 11 Projects completed
6 are not
This printout is a little off from what Thoma sent for a report. With some issues out there we are not sure how much is left and as to whether we will just finish the six or add another. Overall there is only about $3500.00 to expend.
The board discussed the Smith property and whether to demolish the house or not. Mr. Smith wants to leave it. He was Tto tear it down at this own expense. Should the town go and get quotes ourself. It did say that CDBG grant could cover some things. The old trailer is still there. There is language in there that by not tearing the house down and moving the trailer the town could do a foreclosure on the property as it would be a default of the loan.
Attorney Gorgos stated we better look at that before we go to far to see what is going on.
Thought was if we could get it tore down we should do it. Benjamin told that it is not that cheap to do the job. The board will make an appointment with him to meet with him and see how much it will cost to tear it down.
Ellis asked Gorgos if he had any idea what we had to do to consider this project closed at Chapman’s . Normally it is closed when final work is done and a check is cut. It was recommended that we contact Thoma to see what they require as closeure on this project . This will be discussed at the next meeting to do a closure resolution.
Assemblyman Finch wasn’t able to obtain any additional funding. We still offer the $1500 to button it up so no further damage is done. She had to respond back to us by a certain date or we would consider the project closed and she never responded back. (2322.9)
